"Being an MVP affords great opportunities to learn from the product team while also contributing to Microsoft."

What does MVP mean to you?

During my four years as a Microsoft MVP, I have worked with Microsoft professionals from different product groups and have learned a lot. Some of my work with the product groups has included working on an internal BDD Windows Vista and SoftGrid training to EPG with the Windows Client Team, a conference with SMS&P and Incubation Server Team, and many pre-sale and post-sale projects with the Incubation Server Team. Being an MVP affords great opportunities to learn from the product team while also contributing to Microsoft. Furthermore, since my technical background is officially qualified by Microsoft, my customers confidence is enhanced when doing business with me, and my experience as an MVP will further enhance my career by providing greater exposure to different customers and industries.

If you could ask Steve Ballmer one question about Microsoft, what would it be?

I would ask Steve Ballmer, "What is the most difficult task of planning the marketing strategy for Microsoft Products?" I think that the great number of Microsoft Products must make it very difficult to plan for each Product Marketing Strategy. Therefore, I would like to hear his views on the most difficult element of planning marketing strategy and how to overcome it.

What do you think the best software ever written was?

My first thought is Microsoft® Office and MSN®/Windows Live Messenger. Though ultimately, I think the best software should be Microsoft Office due to the high volume of its user base. This product has been driving the market for more than 10 years!

If you were the manager of Windows Server™ - Management Infrastructure, what would you change?

First, I would suggest Internationalization for MOM, SMS, and Microsoft® Configuration Manager, which would allow the worldwide market to access this product. Secondly, I would enable the partners to deliver Management Solution by Training and Direct Pre-Sale Support Channel. Finally, I would raise people's concerns on Operations and Configuration Management to expand the customer bases from community because there are many customers who are using the resources and information from Community.

What sort of work have you done with System Center Operations Manager 2007 and what benefits will this product provide to industry?

At the moment, MOM 2007 and Configuration Manager 2007 have not been released. My work with these products includes beta testing and some pre-sales tasks. We have processes like Pre-Sales, POC, Skill Transfer, Demonstration and Implementation to let customers enjoy the benefits from the Microsoft Management Solutions. These products will improve their operations, configuration and change management in their mission critical production environment.

What was the last book you read?

Truthfully, when I was writing the Training Guides for BDD 2007 and SoftGrid Administration, I read the Windows Vista Product Guide, SoftGrid Training Guide and other related articles

What music CD do you recommend?

I like Japanese songs and like Ai Otsuka very much. She sings pretty well and is also quite cute. So I would recommend Ai Otsuka's "Love Cook Album" and "Tokyo Friends The Movie Music Collection".

What makes you a great MVP?

I think that passion is the most important element of being an MVP. I believe Microsoft products are releasing the potential for everyday people and companies everywhere. Therefore, I want to let everyone know about the business value of Microsoft products and invested nearly two months to publish some BDD 2007 Training Guides on the Internet so that they can be downloaded and used for free. I received a lot of good feedback from both readers and the Windows Vista/Longhorn Testing Team at Redmond; furthermore, these training guides are recommended by many blogs and websites, like Technet Blog, MSBlog, and Bink.nu.

Currently, I am writing new guides for SMS and Microsoft SoftGrid, which will be ready in June.

What's in your computer bag?

I store many things in my computer bag, including my laptop, power cords, 120G USB HDD, a headset, a Microsoft Notebook Laser Mouse 6000, and various documents.

What is the best thing that has happened since you have become an MVP?

I am excited because I can attend the Asia MVP Summit and the Global MVP Summit and meet many of my peers who are also MVPs. I consider the friendships that I create during those events to be some of my most fond memories.

What is your motto?

I consider my motto to be, "Set the target and plan for the future." I think that everyone should have a target or a dream; however, if you want to achieve that goal, you must develop a path to establish the objective, the purpose, and the process.

Who is your hero?

If this question pertains to my profession, I think Owen Chong who works at Microsoft as a Regional Solutions Specialist-Management is my hero because he has taught me many things in my career. If this question is related to my personal life, I would consider my father to be my hero since he encouraged me to think and plan independently and also paid for my education. I owe each of these individuals much gratitude.

What does success mean to you?

In my opinion, when people exhibit their values to everyone and their companies, they are successful. This sort of success could be realized by either helping one's company realize more than $500 million in revenue, or perhaps helping more than 200,000 people around the world.
