Technical Resources

Microsoft values MVPs' passion for technology. To help MVPs develop and expand their expertise, we provide access to a variety of Microsoft technical resources. These Technical Resources range from a complimentary subscription to MSDN or to TechNet, access to the MVP private newsgroups, and technical supports incidents.

The following bulleted list describes the technical resources that are available to MVPs.

  • MVP E-Academy offers timely, instructor-led online training to help MVPs expand their knowledge of Microsoft products and technology.

  • Downloads hosts public and privileged documents and files that MVPs can download from the MVP Members Web site.

  • Microsoft Learning Opportunities offers resources such as skills assessment, books, online reference sources, courses, and certification programs.

  • Knowledge Base Resources enables MVPs to get articles published, view articles on pre-release products and issues, and extend rights to republish Knowledge Base articles to the Web.

  • MVP Private Newsgroups are a venue for MVPs from around the world to share their ideas about Microsoft products and technologies with other MVPs and with Microsoft.

  • MVP Product Feedback allows MVPs a direct, privileged channel to submit comments, suggestions, and reports of abnormal product behavior or potential viruses related to Microsoft products and technologies.

  • SearchOff enables MVPs to compare results found by using MSN Search with results found by using other search engines. MVPs can also provide feedback to the MSN team by using SearchOff.

  • MVP Source Licensing Program gives eligible MVPs access to Microsoft source code.

  • Technical Support offers free assistance on three technical support incidents during an MVP's award year.

  • Technical Subscriptions MVPs can choose an annual subscription to either MSDN or TechNet, giving them access to the latest information about Microsoft technology.

  • MVP Webcast offers eligible MVPs the opportunity to deliver Web-based sessions on topics that are relevant to the Microsoft community.
